This self-catering apartment is pretty much everything I was looking for. A bit south on the Pest side, it is right of Raday street which has tons of restaurants and also near Kalvin ter Metro stop which can take you anywhere in the city (2 min walk). Also a Tesco Express is 2 minutes away so you can do your own meals if you like very cheaply. Great Market Hall if also 2 minutes away. For us the best part was feeling like we were in our own home away from home - nice kitchen, comfy bed, tv, desk, couch, table, washing machine, iron, blow dryer, clothes dresser... Everything! Also, the staff/owner, while not on site, was very responsive to our needs when we emailed them. Would recommend to anyone who doesnt need some fancy hotel but just wants a good amount of space to themselves. Provided basic guide books for the city as well.
If I had to nitpick, it would be nice to have some details for the apartment (where are the trash cans, whats in the neighborhood, how do I use the appliances) and maybe a welcome to Budapest book (what to see/eat/etc, but you do have free strong wifi so you can do this yourself, and they provide simple maps, etc). Also, as people have mentioned, the guards dont speak too much English, but they are very friendly and helpful so it wasn't a problem after gesturing our hands a bit. Also, I think it's a bit south from the main attractions in Pest (like 15 walk to Opera House for example, which is a very nice walk), so if you can't walk 15 minutes the metro is 2 minutes away. Again, would recommend without hesitation.
